The horses in Sasha’s team range in age and all competing at different levels. They are from Ireland, England, France and Holland and are all being finely tuned throughout the year to achieve their very best

Uthopia
Uthopia was discovered in Holland by sheer chance while Sasha competed at Boekelo 3 star event nearby. Within 5 minutes of meeting him she was in love and he was shipped back to Ireland soon after. He deposited her in the arena one blustery day and proceeded to gallop around the fields fully tacked and jumped a large hedge and ditch. This was the closest he would get to eventing. He won a lot of 4 and 5 yr old dresaage championships and then Carl decided he should stay with him and train without competing for small tour competitions. In 2009 as an 8 yr old he came out at Prix St.George and Intermediare 1 level to win with huge percentages in the high 70's! He has been described in Horse and Hound as one of the most exciting horses in Europe and Carl has high hopes for him. He is a stallion and stands in England. His temperament is amazing. He lets me lie down with him in the stable, he hacks out with mares, he has a super brain to train and his trot and canter
are just superb. Carl loves to ride him "but never with a hangover' he says.

All Love Du Fenaud
Precious, as he is affectionately known, is now retired from competitions and is perhaps Sasha's "celebrity horse" as it was he who campaigned for her on the Senior Irish Squad making his first team debut in '99 at Luhmuhlen in Germany. He has done us very proud over the years competing at Europeans, Worlds and Olympic Games and taking some top placings over the years. He has been well known for his flashy dressage and made it into the record books in 2001 at the world games in Jerez (Spain) when he received three perfect "10's" in his dressage. Precious is the most affectionate horse you could meet. He loves being groomed, massaged and cuddled and told how wonderful he is. He is truly spoilt rotten and we wouldn't have it any other way. A very special friend indeed and a once in a lifetime horse.

Look Sharp
Thomas was our cross country machine! He was a very macho horse with rippling muscles. A real athlete! He is quite easily the bravest and most talented cross country horse i have ever had the privilege of riding. I first realized just how talented he was when he completed Blenheim Palace 3 star cross country as a relatively inexperienced 8 yr old and made it feel like a ride in the park. He was also very talented at dressage but often let his excitement get the better of him and he could be very difficult to convince that trotting sideways and circles was a much better idea than galloping at big hedges. The 2 Burghleys I rode around with him were tough tracks with roads and tracks AND a 4 & 1/2 minute steeplechase proceeding the cross country. The 2005 track was a maximum distance of almost 13 minutes in very difficult ground conditions and he was a legend. He gave me everything he had that day and i love him for it. What a feeling riding through the finish
of one of worlds most prestigious events on a horse like that. Very happy memories.

Smart Enough
Zippy was our little pocket rocket and I just felt like i was back on ponies again. He was all of 15.2hh but a personality so big! He was talented in all phases and very handsome too. A real character he whinnied constantly during cross country as if showing off how easy it all was by chatting whilst he did it!
What Now
This was our "Double Clear" boy Jeremy and was also Zippy's best friend. I dont think I have ever jumped an easier horse. He had an inbuilt rhythm and a lovely slo-mo style. He had a lovely temperament and when things got busy at events i knew i could depend on him to have a quick 10 minute warm up and still do the business. He won a lot at 2 star level and was top ten at his first 3 star in France as an 8 yr old before Patti Springsteen spotted him and bought him for her and her daughter to share. He now resides in New Jersey living the celebrity lifestlye. I really miss him though, but am so happy he has found such a lovely home with wonderful people.

Falco
Falco is our 21 yr old school master. He is as old as the hills and as fiesty as a four yr old. He loves doing all of his dressage tricks and is teaching Sasha so much about this sport. He is very mischievous in the competition arena and enjoys spooking and making Sasha look quite silly, but he is too adorable to be cross with and he simply makes us laugh. What a character.

Lecantos
Lecantos (or Liquorice as he is known), arrived from Poland at the end of 2006. He is a pure dressage horse and looks as though he might have an exciting future ahead of him. He has had top rider Carl Hester on board training and competing him and already they have clocked up lots of wins at Grand Prix level in the 70%plus scores. Sasha hopes to take over the ride later and is enjoying training on him in preparation. He is a darling boy completely ruled by his stomach and gobbles bananas, kiwis and even oranges down in one. He thoroughly enjoys prizegivings where he laps up all of the praise and then promptly tries to remove the jockey during the lap of honour. Very cheeky.
