Dear Diary,
Guess What!?!?! Licquorice and I did an actual Competition today which is a small miracle as he has not been out since summer \'08 and I have been off the scene completely since Winter \'07. So today, me, Lix and the bump (5 months) headed off to The Meadows to do an Advanced Medium test. Licquorice behaved really well and i was so pleased with him. There is still lots for us to work on to become a real partnership but for our first time out we got a red rosette and were feeling very happy with our performance!
It did take a lot of organising in order to get to the show fully prepared with babies being looked after elsewhere but was so worth it. Jodphurs were at bursting point with bump in attendance but I concealed my undone button with jacket ; so dignity remained in tact. I mean can u imagine my actual breeches fell down during a medium trot. I would never live it down!
Anyhow, the only slightly traumatic thing that dented my focus during warm up was someone asking my daddy if i was his wife?!@!!! He chortled before saying \"She\'s much too old for me\"... haha, It completely made his day, but has me looking for the local botox supplier?!
