Dear Diary.........
Dear Diary
Can hardly believe I am 5 months into the whole pregnancy game already. Time is flying by and lots is happening. I am expecting the kinderwinkels to start wriggling and kicking v soon and waiting in impatient anticipation for it. Have been tempted to poke and prod tummy a bit to see if I can provoke a kick but have held back! Big drama of the week:- my bellybutton (of which I am very fond) has popped out a bit and is slightly freaking me out! I am going over board with the tummy oil and cream to moisturize the bump morning and night in an effort to minimise the "twin skin phenomenon" (a highly unattractive pouch of extra skin type thing) and Andre jokes I am more greased up than Precious' legs at the olympics!
Enjoyed a fabulous day out at Ballygraffan international event and watched some gorgeous riding from William Fox Pitt. He won both the one star and the two star classes and in such style too. The sun shone all day for the cross country (I'm sure I achieved a farmer tan) and even Jean mitchell (Top international judge and event's director) was seen "topless".... in her convertible car that is! Anyhow, the whole team should be very proud of themselves for running one of Ireland's most impressive, friendly and professional premier events!
The new nest is coming along really well and we hope to move in by the end of May so there will be a whirlwind of activity getting everything finalised over the next few weeks.
I am devastated to be missing my sister compete at Badminton this year but will be cheering from Portugal where I am in charge of 8 hens for my new sis in law's hen weekend. I'm sure Jayne will do very well on the gorgeous "Art Attack" and we will also be cheering for Rodney Powell (my event coach) on the beautiful "Zin Zan". Another large chunk of excitement I shall miss is my new mare Tiara ridden by Carl Hester doing the dressage demo on Friday in the main arena at badminton. She has already been demo-ing at Hartpury and Carl is really enjoying her. He has some new Kur music that he might try out on the crowd? She is being aimed at the British Nationals in September in the Small Tour.
Meanwhile Lecantos is finally back in full work after a long period of vetinary treatment and base work. (He has been in light work ever since his injury last August). He has been in Holland with Carl's trainer and is finally coming back to Carl's yard in May. I have really missed his cheeky little face over the stable door and Carl is also really looking 4wd to getting back on board.
Uthopia is absolutely stunningly gorgeous at the minute. His Piaffe & Passagework looks amazing and as he is only 7 we are seriously excited about his future. He won't bother to compete much until he is ready to do PSG classes next year.
Am due in for a big scan soon to have a really close look at the twins. So far I may as well have been looking at a tendon scan as I haven't really been able to make much out; but apparently you get to see lots on this xray type one. I am dying to find out the gender but I also really want it to be a surprise. Luckily Andre has come to all of the scans to stop me from asking what they are?
Will keep u posted ....
All the best
sasha
