Sasha Stewart was one of Irelands top professional 3 day eventers and was a regular member of the Irish 3 day event team competing at horse trials all over the world. Eventing is a very challenging sport consisting of 3 phases : Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping. Sasha's career highlights to date include her gold medal from the European Champs in Germany '95, her Irish Team performances at World, European and Olympic Games and her adrenalin filled 4 star Burghley rounds. Sasha is now married to hubby Andre and is also a full time mummy. She has now retired from eventing and switched to the glamorous sport of pure dressage. She has her sights firmly set on more success in the future in this very demanding sport and her ambitions are to one day dance on horseback in a Grand Prix Freestyle Music Competition.

Sasha is based for much of her time at her home in Northern Ireland at Thatchly Barn, Kittys Lane, Armagh. Sometimes it is necessary to ship out to England to base with her friend and trainer Carl Hester; one of the most talented and well respected dressage riders in the world. Carl has won over 40 national titles and has represented Great Britain at numerous championships including 3 Olympics, most recently winning a sliver medal at the Europeans at Windsor Castle 2009. He is an incredible mentor for Sasha and it is such a huge opportunity for her to be able to train with him.

Sasha also benefits hugely from training sessions with Pammy Hutton, a long time friend and mentor who was an integral part of her team when she was at the top of her eventing sport. Already Sasha has had great experiences riding in Spain on the sunshine tour and also watching Carl compete very successfully on her horses Lecantos and Uthopia.
